The Lumière Gallery

A gallery dedicated to the cinema in the heart of Lyon

Inaugurated during the 2012 Lumière festival with the exhibition, "Bob Dylan by Jerry Schatzberg" in the presence of the New York filmmaker and photographer himself, this standalone downtown gallery has since hosted exhibits by Steve Schapiro, Raymond Depardon, Chema Prado, Costa-Gavras, Jacques-Henri Lartigue, Christine Plenus (“On the Sets of the Dardennes"), Agnès Varda, Sebastião Salgado and Claude Gassian.

Once a year, the cinema photo gallery holds a sports-themed photo exhibit as part of the Sports, Literature and Cinema festival at the Institut Lumière.
