Arnaud Brun, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Adéquat Group, talks about their 10-year commitment to the Lumière film festival. 

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Adéquat Group's engagement with the festival. What does this mean to you?
This anniversary illustrates our loyalty and how pleased we are with our commitment to the teams at the Institut Lumière and this wonderful festival. Our sponsorship enables us to support the festival, which helps raise the profile of cinema, and also Lyon, which is also the birthplace of the Adéquat Group.

Could you tell us more about the job dating event held for certain volunteers?
We share strong values with the festival. Every year, they make a deliberate effort to give work to volunteers, some of whom are very unlikely to find a job. It's a way for them to recreate a social connection, get involved and regain their confidence. These volunteers also include people who have recently arrived in France, some of whom are refugees. To all these people, between 150 and 200 each year, we prolong the process they have initiated by volunteering, and offer them, in return, our time and expertise. It consists of a day of meetings, during which we offer various training workshops tailored to their different needs, as well as opportunities to meet recruiters.

What do you like most about the festival?
Personally, I especially like the master classes. The creativity, the questions, the technique behind the apparent facility... you always come away even more enamoured of cinema and its artisans. But beyond that, what I find remarkable is that it's a festival that's geared towards the audience, open, designed so that everyone can attend film screenings, and we're happy to be able to offer our employees and temp workers the chance to enjoy these moments. More than anything else, it's a festival that's like us!
