WHY THE CINEMA?

Because cinema is an art, like painting or poetry. The cinema I make is not one that wants to portray reality. Cinema is drawings in motion. I've done dance, pantomime... All the different arts are possible, hopefully rolled into one activity!

MY MOTHER

I went to the cemetery and looked for my mother's name. I saw the grave, I suppose it was a door, and I called out to my mother. I'd climbed over the wall of the cemetery because it was night-time. I know my mother is a ghost, and I saw it like a film. She spoke to me. I had a meeting with her. She told me, “You're going to go back into my womb.”

PSYCHOMAGIC

Magic exists, but you have to find it. I'm happy to tell you that miracles do exist. But you have to be sincere and believe in them. In magic there are all the possibilities. Magic is personal. So all hopes are allowed! If there were magic medicine, I'd be selling a product!

THE SUBCONSCIOUS

The subconscious is the sum total. It's the collective of an entire group, of all human beings. Human beings are the subconscious of everything, the subconscious of matter. The subconscious is there to tell us that we are in a world in danger, that the planet is going to be destroyed. The only thing that can prevent this is a union and collaboration with plants. We have to work together because all this is within us.
