At the Hangar of the Institut Lumière, Jacques Audiard introduced his film, Read My Lips, restored by the team at Pathé.

“It makes me feel strange to talk about this, because when I hear ‘restored’, I think ‘botox’. I thank everyone, especially what I call the ‘château’, meaning the Institut Lumière, along with Sophie and Jérôme Seydoux, who wanted this restoration to be carried out by chief operator Mathieu Vadepied and Tessa Pontaud from Pathé. Despite being glad that it's restored, I haven't seen the whole film yet. I have a hard time with that, I'd have the impression of going back into my memories...”

Giuseppe Tornatore decided to visit the Lumière Museum and spent quite some time among the machines.

“It's very moving for me to be here at this place again. All these devices that allowed the cinema to be made, which I only saw in certain films about cinema, or in photographs in books or magazines. This is the history of cinema. To see it in real life is very different. And the special thing about looking at this equipment is that it reminds me of my youth when I was a projectionist! And I have to admit that dreaming of making films is the normal dream of all projectionists.”
