QUICK BIO: Originally from Doubs, Pascal Brunetti discovered the festival as a spectator. A member of the ‘Chantefable’ choir, a volunteer at the MJC (House of Youth and Culture) in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon and a member of the Reserves specialising in cybersecurity, Pascal Brunetti has been a volunteer for two years: “I love the festival's spirit, the social aspect is what interests me the most”.
MY FAVOURITE DIRECTORS: Thanks to my wife, Mireille, who’s a well-informed film buff, I discovered Spanish and Latin American cinema. I like the films of Almodóvar a lot: I saw him on the set of the remake of Leaving the Lumière Factories. I'm an absolute fan of Julia Roberts and Penélope Cruz. I also love Émilie Dequenne, whom I got to see at the festival a few years ago.
THE MOVIE THEATRE WHERE I DISCOVERED THE CINEMA: The Pathé Alésia in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.
MY FAVOURITE MOVIE: I love French Fried Vacation and the other movies by the ensemble cast of the Splendid. And one of my other classics is Crooks in Clover.
WHY I VOLUNTEER: I've always enjoyed contact with the public. As a volunteer, we meet people from all walks of life. Being a volunteer is a state of mind.
MY TASKS AT THE FESTIVAL: Distributing the volunteer pack (badge, T-shirt) in the Village, welcoming the public to the Halle Tony Garnier during the All-Nighter ‘A Trip to the Ends of Horror’ and the Closing Ceremony.
