Sublime moments of silent film

In homage to the splendour of silent cinema, join us to discover Lumière’s film-concerts. Silent pictures will be accompanied by music performed by the National Orchestra of Lyon for Dreyer's enigmatic and fascinating Vampyr, on the organ for Pierre Loti's sublime adaptation Iceland Fishermen. Also on the agenda are piano film-concerts: People on Sundays or the early work of future Hollywood talent; the first episode of a Gaston Leroux series by Henri Fescourt; two restored Hungarian and German gems; and Chaplin shorts.

Ours thanks to Cineteca di Bologna, Danish Film Institute, FPA Classics, Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé, Friedrich-Wilhelm-Murnau-Foundation, National Film Institute Hungary, Tamasa.
