Amphithéâtre 3000

The Amphithéâtre 3000, located between the Rhône River and Parc de la Tête d’Or, was designed by Renzo Piano, architect of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. It was inaugurated on June 1, 2006. Its flexible layout allows it to adapt to a wide variety of events.

Unique in Europe, with its 180° open semicircular design facing the stage and its access points, it was inspired by Gallo-Roman amphitheatres and offers a wide range of configurations. The Amphithéâtre 3000 has hosted several hundred cultural performances, including French and international singers, contemporary and classical dance, film concerts, tributes and tribute shows.
