Anja Breien
Norwegian director and screenwriter Anja Breien has built a compelling filmography that mixes intimacy and political reflection, where memory, justice and power-play are the focal essence. Indeed, Breien has paved the way for an entire generation of filmmakers. Her œuvre, internationally acclaimed, puts forward a modern, audacious and critical female gaze, and has helped establish Norwegian cinema on the world map.
