Our Sustainability Initiatives
Aware of its role in an era of ecological and social transition, the festival is committed to reducing its environmental footprint while promoting values of civic engagement among its visitors, teams and partners.
On a daily basis, through concrete actions, the organization endeavors to develop an event that is more responsible, more socially cohesive, and rooted in its heritage.
PROMOTING SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY
Located in an urban setting, the festival encourages modes of transportation that are both more responsible and accessible.
Public transportation, carpooling and carsharing are prioritized to limit the impact of travel in connection with the event. Since 2019, the festival has supported volunteers in adopting bicycles as their main means of transportation.
JCDecaux provides volunteers with Vélo'v bike-share cards, free of charge, for the entire duration of the festival to make their travel easier.
MANAGING WASTE EFFICIENTLY
A large-scale event inevitably generates impacts. The festival strives to limit them by reassessing its practices and developing concrete solutions to combat waste.
Our priority actions:
- redistributing unconsumed meals, in partnership with Magner catering
- improving the sorting and management of waste across the festival's various sites
- reducing printed items and optimizing communication materials
Each edition presents a new opportunity to improve our practices and go forward toward a more responsible event.
INVOLVING LOCAL PARTNERS
The festival is firmly rooted in its region and builds its development with local partners.
Since its founding, it has supported businesses in the region, facilitated collaboration with organizations of all sizes, and maintained long-term ties with its economic ecosystem.
400 local or regional companies involved with the festival
70 private partners committed alongside us.
Beyond a mere cultural event, the festival is a collective project that brings together the driving forces of its region.
