Alpha Cinéma

Since 1995, the cinema has established a strong identity in Charbonnières-les-Bains, offering audiences a genuinely diverse programme.

Classified as an arthouse cinema, it screens two to three films per week, catering both to general audiences looking for emotion and spectacular entertainment, and to more discerning filmgoers eager to discover more distinctive works from the arthouse repertoire.

Alpha Cinéma plays an active role in the western Lyon area by screening films upon their national release, taking part in the Lumière Film Festival, and participating in other initiatives such as Toile des Gones during the autumn school holidays and On Cartoon across Greater Lyon.

The cinema also helps introduce young audiences to film, welcoming school groups from nursery school through to high school.

Run by an association of volunteers who provide a warm and friendly welcome, Alpha Cinéma contributes to the cultural life of Charbonnières-les-Bains and the wider western Lyon area.
