The technical tour de force dazzled the Cannes Film Festival in 2000 and garnered a myriad of international awards, including Oscars, BAFTAs and Golden Globes. This glorious work will be further enhanced by the huge screen at the Halle Tony Garnier in the presence of a true icon of worldwide cinema: Zhang Ziyi.

A genuine superstar of Chinese cinema, introduced to audiences by master filmmaker Zhang Yimou (The Road Home, 1999), Zhang Ziyi sees her worldwide popularity skyrocket thanks to the success of Wo hu cang long/Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Cementing her status as royalty of the genre in Hero and House of Flying Daggers, she becomes a face of works by Wong Kar-wai (2046, The Grandmaster), while pursuing her career in the US, where she racks up one popular hit after another (Rush Hour 2, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Cloverfield Paradox).
She will grace us with the honor of her presence as an invited guest of Lumière 2026.
