Heat will be screened in its definitive 4K restoration in the giant venue of the Halle Tony Garnier during the Closing Ceremony of the festival.

A major masterpiece of the 1990s, the incomparable Heat, a pinnacle of contemporary crime fiction cinema, continues to enthral audiences. The modernity of its style, the power of its mise-en-scène, its crepuscular LA atmosphere, its cast (bringing together Hollywood legends Pacino and De Niro) and its frenetic pace, continue to permeate films, television series, literature and video games, three decades after its release... to the extent that it has been directly cited by Christopher Nolan (in The Dark Knight) or James Gray (We Own the Night).
