4 films that changed the history of the genre forever, on the giant screen

A prodigy of genre flicks who has spearheaded a new generation of directors, Alexandre Aja has continued to play an integral part in the renewal of horror movies with his radical, irreverent brand of cinema, infused with a healthy dose of black humour... It’s no wonder he has already earned a cult following... Aja will host this year’s all-nighter at the Halle Tony Garnier, featuring four landmark films of the genre, including his own greatest success, The Hill Has Eyes, which will be screened in a gorgeous 35mm print.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET
by Wes Craven (1984, 1h31)
Teens are being terrorized in their sleep by the monstrous Freddy Krueger, a killer whose nocturnal visits include using his glove... of blades.  Wes Craven’s slasher classic blurs the lines between nightmare and reality.
